4A IC / Quality

Confidence begins
with the details.

Clear specifications, sourcing information and agreed checks form the basis of a quality-focused component inquiry.

Start with an exact requirement

A full manufacturer part number is only the beginning. Packaging, date-code requirements, grade, documentation and intended use can all affect a sourcing decision. We encourage customers to identify these requirements at the inquiry stage.

Review the sourcing information

Traceability and source information are important parts of the discussion. Tell us which documents your organization needs so that their availability can be reviewed before an order is agreed.

Agree inspection and testing needs

Packaging, markings and component condition may require specific checks. Where additional independent testing is needed, its scope, provider, timing and cost should be agreed in advance.

Keep approval connected to the application

Component suitability remains specific to the application. Any proposed alternative needs the customer’s engineering approval, especially for automotive, medical or other demanding environments.

Report a concern with the relevant details

For an order-related question, include the order reference, part number, quantity, photographs and a description of the issue. Our team can then review the concern against the agreed requirements.
